The Bottom Line

If you are looking for an fun, simple game for children of all ages to play together, What's in Ned's Head is pure silliness. Once kids see the disgusting, silly things, some have initially had extreme love it or hate it reactions with this game. However, once they start playing, all children have really enjoyed reaching their hand in to search around for the item that matches their card while they giggle hysterically.

Guide Review - What's in Ned's Head Game Review

If you are looking for a great game for kids in preschool and in the early elementary years, What's in Ned's Head, is a really silly game by Fundex that is a lot of fun, especially for boys. The game comes with 15 different fake and definitely gross objects. Each object also has a corresponding picture card. The 15 objects, such as a rat, visiting spaceman, spider, vomit, frog, lollipop, ear wax remover, and a dirty diaper, are placed inside Ned's Head. Up to 4 children can play at one time. Each person places their hand inside Ned's ears or nose and at the same time they search for the item on their card. The first person to successfully find the item wins that round. Overall, the silly things inside Ned's Head are very disgusting to look at, but fortunately as adults we can rationalize that they are not real. This makes for some very extreme reactions when playing this game. Some children love it, while others have actually been scared of the insects, vomit, rats, and dirty diaper. Though if that's the case, I have placed all the items on the table and allowed the kids to remove a few prior to game play to accommodate those kids that have verbalized they are scared or look visibly distraught. After that modification, all of the kids I have played this with have all enjoyed really playing the game. I love how kids of all different ages can play together, and no reading is required to play because the pictures are included on the cards. There is a lot of flexibility with this game as well, it can be played in minutes or longer periods of time. The 10 additional blank cards also allow for kids to get creative and include some of their own silly things from home. Overall, this game is a lot of fun, which also makes it perfect to include as a Halloween party game!
