Keep your preschooler busy with School Zone's new educational products!

Friday October 19, 2007
I'm constantly conjuring up new ways to entertain my preschooler. Sometimes, the afternoons stretch on endlessly, mainly because I refuse to take the easy way out and switch on the television. At that point, I've usually read to her, played her favorite games, done some coloring and even told her a few stories. So, I couldn't wait to try out School Zone's new products including the "Little Hand Helper Workbook", "3D Think and Blink Alphabet Flash Cards" and the "Wonder Words Workbook and Software for Kindergarten" this afternoon, in the hope that they would keep her happily occupied.

The 3D Alphabet Flash Cards are really cool. They are what you would expect a set of regular alphabet flash cards to be - except that they have this lenticular image with the alphabet and object on one side. (You know, the kind of 3D image that changes when you move the cards back and forth). The other side of the card is just like a traditional flash card with the same alphabet and another object on it, which means that you are getting 2 objects per alphabet card. My little one loved them, and she insisted on going through them thrice and would have gone on, until I finally put my foot down!

The Tracing Skills book from the Little Hand Helper Workbook series is nice too. It has these fun activities which encourage writing skills including tracing the letters, and several warm up activities like mazes, spiral tracing and so on. The pages are of good quality, and the printing is nice and colorful.

I definitely recommend School Zone's products if you're looking for some educational fun for your children.
