Nike Helmet Strap Recall Approximately 235,000 Nike football helmet chin straps have been recalled due the risk of the chin strap's plastic cup breaking. These football helmet straps include children's and adult sizes. Nike has received around 18 complaints of the strap snapping, thus exposing the wearer to potential head/facial injuries. The Nike football helmet straps are made in China, and bear the product numbers FA0016 046, FA0016 130, FA0021 046, or FA0021 130. The helmet straps were sold in sporting goods stores for around $30 between April 2006 and October 2007.

If you own one of these helmet straps, please contact Nike and get a product voucher in lieu of the defective product. The product voucher can be redeemed for other Nike products at www.nikestore.com.
