For the second time this week, another set of kids' jewelry with Disney characters has been recalled. This time the culprit is lead.
Tinker Bell's Lil' Tinker Bracelet, Silvermist's Water Lily Necklace and Rosetta's Rosebud Key Chain were all manufactured in China and imported by Playmates Toys. A metal connector that holds the charm contains unsafe levels of lead.
Jewelry is particularly dangerous because children frequently put it in their mouths. Though some kids' jewelry is safe, we've been seeing a lot of recalls of kids' jewelry, much of which is manufactured in China.
It is important to note that Disney does not manufacture these toys. They just license their characters to the toy companies.
If you have this toy in your home, take it away from the kids immediately and visit the CPSC's website for more information on getting a replacement toy.
Does it irk you when you have to take unsafe toys away from your kids?

Uh…yeah! Especially when it’s something my MIL or SIL just picked up from the 99 cent store and my toddler is putting it in his mouth.
Me = bad mom. Them = crazy beloved nanna and mimi
