Every year, the popular collectible doll company, American Girl, releases a new doll into the line that is available for 1 year only, or until supplies last. The American Girl of the Year for 2013 is Saige Copeland.
Saige Copeland is a 9-year-old-girl, who lives on her grandmother's horse farm in Albequerque, New Mexico. Saige enjoys horseback riding and painting. As is typical of all American Girl dolls, Saige is featured in various books, one of which arrives with the purchase of the doll. Additional accessories will be available for purchase, sold separately, beginning in January 2013.
In addition to the launch of the doll, American Girl is hosting several opportunities for children to win prize packs, and educators to apply for grants that will help promote art in the educational curriculum. Here is an additional article that includes more information on the contests and grant opportunities featuring Saige Copeland, the American Girl Doll of the Year 2013.
