Now through February 5th, 2012, Monopoly fans are able to help determine the fate of which one of the beloved classic Monopoly tokens will be retired. Not only that, they can also vote on what new Monopoly token will replace it.

In 1935, the game Monopoly debuted with tokens to move about the board that included the iron, racecar, thimble, shoe, top hat and battleship. In 1950, the wheelbarrow and the Scottie dog were added.
The token with the fewest votes will be "sent directly to jail." So, go to Facebook.com/monopoly to cast your vote and save your favorite token from forced retirement. Then, vote for one of the new tokens that include a helicopter, guitar, ring, cat and robot.

While the games with the new token will arrive in stores mid to late 2013, a special editionMonopoly game will be available inTarget that features all classic tokens in gold color, plus all of the new tokens featured in the vote. The game will retail for $17.99.
I voted to save the Scottie Dog and add the ring. What did you vote for?
